“当代国际艺术与设计双年展”（Contemporary international art and design Biennale）（上海）是继“威尼斯双年展”（La Biennale di Venezia）之后，在新世纪数字化时期孕育而生的国际性的艺术界、设计界、以及创意界数字艺术嘉年华盛会。“当代国际艺术与设计双年展”由上海市创意产业协会（全国创意产业领域诞生的第一家协会；“世界创意产业之父”“英国著名经济学家”约翰·霍金斯John Howkins担任国际顾问；“中国创意产业之父”“著名经济学家”“第十一届全国政协副主席”厉无畏先生担任首任会长）担任指导机构，上海暨中文化艺术传播中心倾情主持，依托上海国际化大都市的优势，立足神州精髓、扎根本土文化、弘扬民族艺术、放眼世界潮流，积极营造“更新艺术品质、拓展艺术价值、增强社会效益”的艺术再生平台。
